Loved the room - ample space to move around and maintain luggage, clothes, etc., plus a fridge! The bathroom and shower were great - one of the best throughout our Europe travels. Mr. Sergei is a wonderful, warm and accommodating gentleman who did his best to ensure our comfort - even walked me halfway to a laundromat with pleasant conversation and good humour to boot. The breakfast was the best we had in 3 weeks - and in a lovely basement setting. Overall, the Alton has a family, home-away-from-home, traditional feel. The location is excellent - right near a subway station and tram stops. There is everything you need all around for food, drinks and shopping. We had originally booked for the Beranek, but then found a great Alton deal which I felt guilty about, but turns out they are "related", so win-win all around! Honestly, this was one of our best stays out of 10 accommodations Europe-wide! Thank you - we will be back! :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Alton Hotel in Prague, and I must say that it was a delightful experience overall. The rooms at the Alton Hotel were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. I stayed in a triple room, which was spacious enough for three people. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The room was tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. One of the standout features of the Alton Hotel is its excellent location. The staff at the Alton Hotel were courteous and helpful throughout my stay. They were always ready to assist with any questions or requests, from providing restaurant recommendations to arranging transportation. Considering its location and the quality of accommodation, I found the Alton Hotel to be reasonably priced. It offers good value for money compared to some of the more upscale hotels in Prague.

Good hotel for midrange budget. Location is excellent, there's tram stop for various lines right behind corner. Location is near busy street, but my room was top floor with only roof window. Opening it meant some street noise, but as room was equipped with really good air con, there was no need to have window open or even open blinds. Room was equipped with fridge which is always plus for these 3-4 star hotels. And big plus on hot summer days. Breakfast was ok and is most likely enough for most people. Sweet cakes are made by staff on-site which is nice plus. Staff is friendly and helpful. Big thanks to older gentleman that met me first day. I forgot my tablet into room while leaving to next destination. Hotel informed me about it with whatsapp message. This was really good service along getting it in package to be shipped back to me.

Room: book the small room under the roof. It actually was done very nicely with lights fitted into the wooden beams. The roof window can be open/closed electrically, and the blinds can be nicely controlled. Aircon: well-placed and with good controls. Breakfast: a part like British (eggs, beans, sausages -- local, that is much better than British/US), plus actual salads+ choice of cold cuts and cheese, cereals, in-house made sweats, ok selection of teas, two types of juices. All tasty. Had to demonstrate some will-power and not eat them all. Stuff: very helpful. Tips about where to eat/drink [like a local] very very useful Location: 30 sec from I. P. Pavlova metro station & mini hub of several tram lines; 5-7 min walk from the Wenceslas square

Daniel

I must start with the location of the hotel, which was excellent! The tram and metro stations are just a few meters away from the hotel and only 4 stops with the tram to the Old City and 8 stops to Mala Strana. Of course, you can reach Old City by foot in 20 minutes! The breakfast was great, with many options to choose from, sweets and sours and many options for drinks too. The stuff was really polite and helpful. But I must also mention the cleaningness of the hotel! The room was cleaned every day and also they changed the towels every day. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was really spacious. Overall our staying was great and we would definately propose ALTON hotel to our friends who are willing to visit Prague!
